Oakwood Resort Grand Bend, Grand Bend

The resort has a beautiful private beach that’s perfect for swimming, but the rooms unfortunately need a lot of work and better cleaning. The dining experience was decent, with a good menu at the pub, though my overall stay was marred by cleanliness issues. It's clear that the property is worn and needs some updates, but the beachfront location is a standout feature.

My stay at Oakwood had its ups and downs. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable beds, but I struggled with noise from the air conditioning units nearby. On the bright side, the dining experience was outstanding with an excellent buffet selection. The service was friendly, especially from staff members who really went above and beyond. Unfortunately, the balcony overlooking the car park was less than ideal, and parking was tricky during our arrival.

My wife and I returned to Oakwood Resort for a relaxing getaway, but it didn't quite meet our expectations. The lakefront location is beautiful, and the suite we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. However, the restaurant's reduced hours and the noise from carpet cleaning were major drawbacks. The staff provided some friendly service but overall, there were significant areas for improvement.

I had a wonderful experience at the hotel, especially while celebrating Mother's Day with a fabulous meal that was truly second to none. The service was prompt and attentive, making our dining experience a delight. While the rooms were spacious and clean, some areas felt a bit dated. The location was perfect for accessing the beach and nearby attractions, although there wasn't much open during the off-season. Overall, it was a relaxing stay, but a few updates would elevate it further.
